Jones Snowboard - Women's Solution Splitboard

Jones Snowboard makes the ideal splitboard for women.  The women’s Solution is the men’s version of the Solution. It is built to be the a powerhouse in the backcountry for women.  The Solution is exactly as it’s named, your solution to get you up the hill without waiting in lift lines, and with untracked powder.

The solution has a slightly tapered tail and an quick rise nose to help float better in the powder.  Additionally, the Jones Solution has a very mellow Magne-Traction (think serenaded knife) on both the inner and outer edge of the ski.  This provides better grip when in tour mode and you encounter icy conditions where edge control and grip is more difficult.

Jones ECO ecological

Jones snowboards follow what they call ECO, which is a commitment to only use enviormentally and ecologically safe products in their snowboards.  From the ink they use in printing graphics to the glue and base material, Jones snowboards are committed to be a safe player with the material they use.  Jones Snowboard is very transperent about where their material comes from.  Jones is dedicated to quality and has found that they best place to make their Snowboards and Splitboards is in centeral Europe at the GST’s factory.

Just look where their product to make a snowboard come from:

  • Germany: Special Topsheet, Fiberglass, Carbon, Steel Edges, Inserts, Carbon base, Stickers
  • Switzerland: Inks, Varnish
  • Austria: Topsheet, Steel edges, Stickers, Base, Shrink Foil, Digital Prints, Epoxy, Sidwalls
  • Italy: Wood Vaneers
  • Slovenia: Woodcore, Inserts

Not many snowboard companies are that open about where the products that go in their boards come from.

Warranty

All Jones snowboards and splitboards come with a 3 year warranty and GST made snowboards have the lowest warranty rate in the industry.  These boards are solid, but it’s nice to know if you have a problem you are covered for 3 years instead of just 1 year like most other snowboard companies offer.

Shape/Profile

Jones snowboard use a blunt nose shape that helps the board float better in any condition.  It forces the board to get out and on top of the snow for a better feeling when in the powder, but also keeping you from getting stuck under the crust.

Directional Rocker shapes are all the rages in splitboards shapes. it’s because it provides a stable platform for riding everything from hard pack to powder and anything else you might encounter in the back country.  As your weight increases from leaning back over the camber section of the board, the nose and rocker section rise even more.  But when needed on edge the camber section does what it’s always done and gets you through the snow to the direction you want to be going.
