New Film Featuring Jones Adventure Grant Winner Mitch Toelderer

In December 2014, we asked our family of international Jones ambassadors to submit trip proposals for the First Annual Jones Adventure Grant. In founding the grant program we look to fuel the fire for wilderness exploration and the drive to discover epic new backcountry terrain. In January 2015, Jones ambassador Mitch Toelderer was awarded the first ever grant to support an expedition to the Albanian Alps in Southeastern Europe. Mitch and the crew from Whiteroom Productions spent three weeks exploring this remote range on the Balkan Peninsula, and despite mixed conditions, pulled off a very successful trip. Mitch made the most of short weather windows and rode several substantial new lines.

Mitch’s adventure in Albania was documented by Whiteroom Productions and made into the feature film ‘When The Mountains Were Wild’.
