As a fairly new company, Alex Cruft and Matthew Miner joined forces to make a great eco-friendly company that made great looking eyewear out of wood, bioplastic, hemp and other recycled materials.
Being a new company, Bosky is attracting a lot of attention from the fashion industry. The exposure for their emphasis on sustainability has landed them features in Vogue, Esquire and other magazines.
While their emphasis is more on their standout wooden frame sunglasses, we wanted to give their eco-friendly hemp vented snow goggles a try and see how they compare to other industry goggles.
MK II Snow Google Review
The MK II are manufactured with Bioplastic (plant based plastic) and Hemp, amongst other materials. This sets Bosky apart from the majority of the competition.
These are the second version of the MK snow goggles from Bosky. The stand out for these goggles are defiantly the clean manufacturing that Bosky insist upon as well as the eye catching details. The hemp woven fibers instead of foam that most goggles include was a nice refresh. We have torn through many foam vent covers on the top of goggle because of ice collecting or just being a little too rough with them.
The face-cushing is super soft and very comfortable creating a perfect seal around the nose and face, to avoid any tears from air streaming into the goggles.
Pros
- You can feel awesome that you are wearing goggles that are made from hemp, and plant based plastic
- Sweet looking goggle bag
- 1 year warranty and replacement guarantee
Cons
- Bosky states that their lens are anti-glare, however, when we tried the goggles near lights (night riding) there is a definite notice of a halo effect. However, you don’t notice this during the day.
They come in a number of colors and lens options, as well as normal and Asian fits. If you care about fossil fuels and green house gasses, you can really feel good about yourself knowing that you own a pair of goggles that are made about as natural as possible.
