ROAM Whiteroom Splitboards

Rome Snowboards Currently has two Splitboards in their lineup.  The Whiteroom and the Notch. The whiteroom splitboard is on the less expensive side of splitboards for the industry. It retails for $600 without a Volie kit.  It’s a great option from splitting your own board.  We have found that factory split boards seem to hold up better and longer.  The flex it’s all messed up from degrading the pattern and stability in the board by cutting it in half.

The Whiteroom comes with an “S” camber/rocker shape perfect for floating through blower snow.  Another added benefit to the “S” camber is the trekking side of the ski. It seems to float better better than traditional touring ski’s because the nose wants to be up above the fresh.

The board comes in a 158, 162, and a 165 cm. Also standard are the Kevlar and Carbon V inserted strips for strength. Airpop Core that is a light weight low-density wood that is perfect for strength to power ratio. Triax Laminate and Sintered Base to soak up that much needed wax.  This board feels a bit more like a real board that traditional splitboard.
